Team Suits FAQ
The new-for-2017 Barracuda team suit is the Dolfin "Genesis". We are returning to our full team colors of blue and green! It will be our team suit for the 2017, 2018, and 2019 swim season. Three years on the same suit! Per your request!

How do I order a suit for my swimmer?
Attend the Get Your Gear session!!
SwimFreak will be at the Get your Gear / Meet the Coaches session at the Barton Creek West Pool. They will have suits to try on and help kids find the ideal size. See the calendar for date and time.
If you are not sure what size suit your swimmer needs and you can't make the get your gear day:
Your best option is to visit the SwimFreak store located near 360/71/Lamar at -
4032 S. Lamar Blvd., Ste. 500
Austin, Texas 78704
Tuesday-Friday 10am-6pm, Sat 10am-3pm, Closed on Mondays
It's in the Hobby Lobby shopping center, between Performance Bicycle and Freebirds Burrito.
Here, your swimmer can try the suit on and get an expert's opinion on how the suit should fit. These suits do run a bit on the small size compared to our previous TYR suits, so don't just go up one size from your previous suit! Please let them know you are with the Barton Creek West Barracudas Swim Team. (They may do the Barton Creek County Club sharks too, so don't get their suit!)
The suit isn't readily available to purchase online, and you cannot get it at Dick's Sporting Goods, Academy Sports or most other local generic sport shops. SwimFreak has ordered a bunch of these suits in advance so they are your best bet, especially for trying on various sizes.
Do I have to buy a swimsuit for my swimmer?
Yes. In order to swim at an official BCW Barracudas swim meet, all swimmers must wear the current Barracuda team suit. No, we aren't making money off of it. It does help the coaches quickly identify our swimmers at meets and helps the officials ensure the right kids are in the right events. All teams in our league have similar policies.
The team suit is NOT required at practice. Wear it less, make it last, and hand it down if you like.
Can I use this suit next year?
YES. The Swim Board has made every effort to choose a suit that is available on a 2-year manufacturing cycle and the Dolfin Genesis listed as a suit that is available for both the 2017, 2018, (and likely 2019) seasons. We will need a new suit for 2020 (wow, that's a long time away). Should you have any questions please contact us.
